It should be noted that these booking conditions are part of the booking form referred to in the ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES website and shall be deemed to constitute part of the contract between ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES and the applicant named in the foregoing booking form. Acceptance of the booking is therefore subject to the following terms and conditions.
1.A booking will only be constituted by the return of a complete booking form accompanied by a remittance for a minimum sum of € 150/ £ 100 (non-refundable deposit) or the total cost of the holiday as advised by ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES. The balance of the price of the holiday and equipment hire shall require to be in the hands of ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES not later than eight weeks before the commencement date of the tour.
2. All cancellations must be received in writing at our office. In this event, the following terms will apply; Bookings canceled before the expiry of 8 weeks the company will refund all sums paid less deposit. Any bookings canceled more than 28 days before the commencement of the tour shall be entitled to return of 50% of the total holiday price (if paid) and any bookings canceled less than 28 days before commencement of the tour shall forfeit all sums paid. Exceptions to this policy will not be made for any reason, including weather or personal emergencies. In any of the above events there will be an additional administrative charge of € 35/ £ 25. There is no refund for arriving late or leaving a tour early.
3.Cancellation of the tour. ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES shall use its best endeavors to ensure that there are no cancelations but reserve the right to cancel the tour should the minimum number of persons as stipulated within the tour brochure or website not book tours by 4 weeks before commencement of the tour, or agree to continue with modifications or a reduced group surcharge. In that event all sums paid by the prospective customer shall be refunded less an administrative charge of € 37,60/ £ 25. It is understood that any event or act of war, civil or political unrest, flood, general act of God, or other forces majeure shall constitute a sufficient reason for the company to cancel the tour. ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES is not responsible for additional expenses incurred by you in preparing for the trip (e.g. non-refundable air tickets, visa fees if applicable, gear or medical expenses).
4.Price Guarantee. Prices stated in the ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES website are per person and guaranteed regardless of fluctuation in foreign currency for reservations received through to 31st Octoberl 2007. Prices do not include air fares or ferry expenses. The information provided in the ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES website attempts as far as possible to provide details of the tour undertaken, its duration, route and nature and details of accommodation and food. Further details will be provided as known to the company, but if the applicant becomes aware at any stage that the information does not coincide with the understanding of the position the onus will be upon the applicant to intimate their intention to cancel the booking before the 8 week period before referred to.
5. Travelling as a single. Our prices are based on double or twin occupancy. If you require a single room you will be charged a single supplement regardless of when you book. However due to some of the remote areas visited, single rooms are limited and therefore subject to availability. Single room supplement when available is € 30/ £ 20 per day.
6. Insurance. It is a condition of joining our tours, and the responsibility of the applicant to ensure that they are adequately insured against medical and personal risks covering the tour, including repatriation, ambulance and air rescue and cancellation.
7. The quality of your holidays. A questionnaire will be provided at the end of the holiday for your general comments. This enables us to keep in tune with our customers' aspirations and continually improve our product and services. However, if during the holiday, you have a complaint please discuss the matter immediately with the tour leader who will take the appropriate action. Should you be dissatisfied with the result and feel that it has severely affected your enjoyment of the holiday please write to us within 28 days of your return. We will respond within the same period and endeavor to resolve the matter to our mutual satisfaction.
8. It is expressly confirmed that the company cannot accept responsibility for loss or injury to the applicant arising through failure by the applicant or of machinery provided by the applicant. You are recommended to insure yourself against any possible risk which you may incur within the tour. The company shall also not be liable for damages in the event of cancelation the tour in relation to any matter. The company reserves the right to alter the route as conditions prevail to accommodate changes in weather, terrain and physical condition of participants. The leader's decision is final.
9. By their acceptance hereof the applicant agrees that he has read and understood the terms of these booking conditions and agrees to be bound by same. The applicant confirms that he considers himself medically fit to participate in the tour and that no warranty has been given by the company as to the medical condition of the applicant. Any information provided by the company in relation to travel details or requirements in respect of passports/ id-cards, visas vaccinations or other requirements, which should be required for trips to and throughout the UK is provided on a voluntary basis and is not to be relied upon the applicant.
10. Sight seeing/ historical sights. Entry to some of them is free, however, where charge is applicable the customer is liable to pay.
11. Payment protection. All eligible payments are held in special trust account in accordance with EU package holiday.
12. It is the responsibility of all participants to meet at the time and designated start point. Customers failing to connect with the airport transfer or the tourguide are liable for their own expenses to catch up with the tour.
13. Delays in the journey. We cannot be held responsible for any unforeseen delays in your flights prior to, during, or after the tour including ferry crossing while on tour, whether caused by weather or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a delay you will be responsible for providing your own meals and accommodation till you catch up with the tour.
14. Travel privileges:Every 10th booking customer of our motorbike journeys gets its fuel expenses paid for duration of the guided tours by ALBA MOTORBIKE ADVENTURES. Every 100th participant travels for free (Travel Basis Charge won't be charged). For every other booking customer you bring, you get 10% off your travel basis charge (minimum 6 participants). This offer is valid for tour bookings until 31.05.07
